“The American Dream”

American artists have always used the young countries ever evolving landscape, social structure and growing diverse culture to pull inspiration from and continuously evolve their work. Allowing history to not only reflect on the state of the country but the cultural feelings as the country has grown over time, for better or worse. Many of the most famous works produced throughout the 243 years of the United States used interpretative means to give a historical commentary to the the real state of the country. More so than ever, artists are using their artistic voice to tell the story of America and put their stamp on the history of the country as they try to achieve and define
“The American Dream.”
